ASL Advanced Systems Pvt Ltd., (ASL) was setup in 1992, as a technology focussed company with an initial objective of producing indigenously, Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers for a host of military and civilian applications, and offering diverse GPS based solutions.
ASL through its intense R&D efforts by a strong 50-member team of well qualified hardware and software engineers, successfully designed and produced military qualified GPS receivers. It currently has a range of GPS hardware and software products and their applications in its basket of offering, which in the last decade were produced and supplied to customers in very large numbers. Its client list currently has in it the most demanding customers like Indian Airforce, Indian Army, Indian Navy, Coast Guard, Defense R&D, HAL, BEL, SiRF Technologies (USA), CPRI, L&T India, GE, Agilent Technologies, ECIL, C-DAC, ISRO, Railways, Cell Cabs etc.
ASL has maintained its quality of processes in design, development and production, leading to an ISO 9001-2000 accreditation by world famous Perry Johnson Registress, Inc USA.
The ASL Labs, an R&D division of ASL, has received recognition from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India as a R&D centre. For its achievements in technology development and absorption in the area of GPS, ASL was also given an award in 1997 by the DSIR. Today ASL has a strong and dedicated 50 member team with experience and skills in a wide ranging and focussed areas such as :
